Ham Radio Technician Course

The Class Details

Our class is offered in two formats. The first is a 3 Saturday Course.Our second format is a 5 night weekday class.


In our Saturday Format, the first two sessions are a classroom style teaching that will help you walk through the world of Ham Radio. The third session is our ham radio test session, and a hands on radio activity in the afternoon.


In our 5 Night format, the first four sessions (All 4 hours) are classroom style teaching that will walk through the Ham Radio Technician material. On the last session the Ham Radio Exam is given. This class offers no Radio Air time because of the time constraints. 


This Class is MEREO's Longest Course, and most detailed.

About the Author

Stu Turner, WØSTU, holds an FCC Extra license, the top amateur license. As a professional educator he served as a US Air Force Academy engineering professor for eight years where he honed his skills of making difficult topics fun and easy to understand.

With his radio club he regularly teaches weekend ham radio classes that include youth as young as 10, non-technical domestic engineers, trained electrical engineers, senior citizens, emergency responders, and everyone in between! Over the years his Technician Class exam success rate consistently exceeds 90%.
